Tierra Verde is a premier waterfront community in South Pinellas County. This island community is surrounded by the waters of Boca Ciega Bay and the Gulf of Mexico and heaven for all those interested in water related activities. The proximity to the Fort DeSoto state park, with its sugar white beaches, makes this area even more attractive. Tierra Verde encompasses 6 areas: Monte Cristo, Entrada, Pinellas Bayway, Sands Point, East Shore (Bayview), and West Shore (Oceanview). The easy access to I-275 makes commuting to the metro areas of St. Petersburg and Tampa a breeze.

Marinas, boat clubs and other maritime facilities attract boaters and residents who enjoy hiking, biking, fishing and watching the wildlife in the serene waters or at the shoreline. For a special dining experience there are restaurants with diverse menus from rustic seafood to fine gourmet dining.

Tierra Verde offers a variety of different homes appealing to many lifestyles: from smaller vacation townhomes, to huge multi-million luxury estates, in all different shapes and architectural styles, including classical influences from Europe and early American architecture.

Fort De Soto Park, has been rated the number one beach in North America year after year. This is not surprising, given the park's white sand and pristine beauty. The park is the largest within the Pinellas Country Park System, and offers visitors 7 miles of waterfront. Additionally, the park receives 2.7 million visitors yearly, and is dog friendly.

Fort De Soto Park is made up of 5 islands: Madelaine Key, St. Jeans Key, St. Christopher Key, Bonne Fortune Key, and Mullet Key.
